You can do this with the AutoCompleter code from Digitarald. Make sure you get the version 1.0 if you are using MooTools 1.1.

Assuming that you can talk to .NET somehow across the web then you can probably do it. cURL is easy with the CURL plug-in; I've also and XML working with the Joomla! & PHP XMP RPC libraries.

Check the docs for the .NET end and see what they require.

PS I built a little AutoCompleter form yesterday - see the 'Zoeken op Plaats' box here. You can type the first two (or more) characters of a Dutch town or postcode and it will show you a drop-down list of matching names.
