Hi,
I set up a Joomla site (1.5.2) and setup Chronoforms.. worked great. This was a testing site.
I created a fresh & identical basic hosting account on myhosting.com (same server and in fact the same database) and installed chronoforms (same latest release as the other site) chronoforms will not send email.
Form is enabled and published, same addresses, in fact same form config. I have checked side by side all params I can think of and after 3 hours I can't figure out why one site will send and the other will not.. same site, same host, same settings. Can someone give me any idea of what else to check? I've removed and re-installed Chronoforms at it didn't make a difference. Check junk mail etc... nothing.
thanks,

and debug shows no errors and says that the email was successfully sent.... and the emails never arrive. (junk folder too).
Hi kir41911 ,
Does the site send mail from other extensions?
My email checklist is below.
Bob
Please check the following:
a) That 'Send Emails' is set to 'Yes' on the Form General tab
b) That you have a valid Email Setup - if the box is green it's valid, red is invalid (see d below)
c) That you have set 'Enabled' to 'Yes' in the Email Setup Properties box
d) A valid Email Setup requires To, Subject, From Name and From Email elements (or the Dynamic equivalents) in the *same* setup box.
e) The element boxes must contain strings for the static elements or valid input names from the form for the Dynamic elements.
f) The To and From Email boxes must contain valid email addresses
g) The From Email address should match the Domain name.
h) The To email address should not be the same as the From Email address.

thanks, I found the problem. The email server is hosted somewhere else and sendmail wouldn't relay. For others with this problem you can setup the email settings in Joomla to use an external smtp server.
I apprectiate the time you took. Thanks

Ty for replying back, but I'm not having any luck. My messages are all going to junk mail.
I'm using joomla 1.6 and the super user email address is abu_sufi@hotmail.com
The field names i have used are: name, subject, email and message.
The email has been enabled. Where am I going wrong? I have left the rest of the fields blank.

Hi abu_sufi,
I strongly recommend that you do *not* use the Dynamic From Email element in your Email Setups. Using this often results in your emails being marked as spam and dropped into a spam filter. Instead use the static From Email with an address that matches the site domain name and use Dynamic ReplyTo Email for the user email. The result is the same but with a much better chance of good delivery.

Thank you for ure advice GreyHead. Ure instructions are correct. I miss-read it. So if any1 does have the same problem as me? this is how i solved it. Instruction D states...
"d) The From Email address should match the Domain name."
...at first I though it was my Super User email address I used on joomla. 🙄 Silly me. This email address should have ure domain name on it. So I created an email from my host provider with my domain name at the end and than forward the emails to my hotmail account.
Thanks again GreyHead.
