Wrong form shows up!

Evopro 29 Dec, 2010
Hi there

I run a site where we use several Chronoform forms. two of them work fine, the one called by this address: https://hi-tech-online-store.com/free-sample-request-form

and the one called from a link to this address: https://hi-tech-online-store.com/contact-us

But then I have set up a third form which I link to and instead of loading this third form, the first of the three forms is loaded. I have linked from a menu item directly to this third form with the same result! The link I use to call the third form is this : https://hi-tech-online-store.com/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&chronoformname=ContactForm2011

Even when I click the link inside the Chronoform module, the wrong form shows up! there must be some internal error in the module. I have tried to copy the form, delete it and set up a new one but it does not help.

What is going on? Can someone please help finding what is wrong here?

Hi Johan,

There are a few possibilities I can think of:
• You have two forms with the same name (ChronoForms will show the one with the lower ID)
  • You have some problem with the Menu item setup - it can sometimes help to use a Menu Type of External URL
  • Your SEF system is redirecting one URL to another.
  •
Dear Bob

I did deactivate the JoomSEF module and I tried the external lining which worked badly (since other modues that are supposed to be placed on the same page does not show up).

I then started from scratch again to set up menu items with chronoformtype set and when I try one of the forms, I get the following message:

    404 - Component not found

You may not be able to visit this page because of:

    1. an out-of-date bookmark/favourite
    2. a search engine that has an out-of-date listing for this site
    3. a mistyped address
    4. you have no access to this page
    5. The requested resource was not found.
    6. An error has occurred while processing your request.

Please try one of the following pages:

    * Home Page

If difficulties persist, please contact the System Administrator of this site.

Please have a look at the three links to the three forms - they are listed under "Home" on the following site: https://hi-tech-online-store.com

    Please advise!

    Hi Bob

I am trouble shooting this but can not get the forms to show. Now I get the following error message:

There is no form with this name or may be the form is unpublished, Please check the form and the url and the form management

I now changed the menu link to external and placed the links shown in chronoforms and that does work!

    Hi Johan,

I checked one and it appears to submit OK with no error messages at all.
