Getting the submitted forms to appear on the website

trobelius 05 Dec, 2010
Hey,

I`m a beginner in Joomla, ChronoForms and website building in general. I do have an idea about the website that I would like to have though. The main thing that I need is a kind of a form, I guess😀
So, basically I need to create a form (somewhat similar to ads), that describes individual projects, that can be submitted by users, and in this form there should be many custom fields - for example, description, place, time etc.
Plus, there should be a field that says, for example, how many people are required for this project. When the form is submitted, other users should be able to see it on the website (in a sort of a summary page which should look something like this ---> http://www.cupmanager.org/hattrick/files/index.php?nCupId=112021 well, not the design and field names, but the functions) and apply for this project. So, if it says in the form, that 4 people are required, than 4 people should be able to apply/register.
I also require a search tool, that would include all the fields and the possibility to look for projects with or without the possibility to apply.
Then, I would also need to relate to these forms in different kinds of statistics.
I know, that`s a lot, and involves more than a few clicks, but I would really appreciate it if someone could briefly explain how to do it step by step.
Thanks in advance.

Hi David,

The good news is that you can probably do this with ChronoForms (AND possibly ChronoConnectivity). The bad news is that you have to do most of the work.

Start out with the basic tutorial, create a simple version of your form with a couple of inputs, get it working. Then add more inputs and features.

Come back and ask here if you get stuck.
