Hello,
What file permissions do I require for files in the http://xxxxx/components/com_chronocontact
directory and sub-directories, as neither the captcha verification or reCaptcha plugin verification
are working on my instillation, however everything else is working fine. Unfortunately I'm working
off a remote windows IIS server, and must get the web admin to change the permissions,
but i must know the precise setting i.e. owner r-w-x, group r-w-x, and public r-w-x settings,
before requesting they change them.
Thank you in advance j.mark.a

Hi j.mark.a,
I don't think that there is anything special about the chmod settigns for the imageverification files :-( On my servers the files are running with 644 (except for the uploads folder).
The ChronoForms Imageverification and the ReCaptcha plug-in ae quite different in the way they work so there may be something other than permissions going wrong here.
For Imageverification the server has to allow the png file-type to be created on demand. Sometimes we see site security blocking that.
Not sure what the problem might be with ReCaptchs - have you double checked that the plug-in is enabled on the form Plug-ins tab (a **green** bar is enabled).
