Preloading text in the editor

Kanjiro 12 Nov, 2010
Hi =)

I'm creating a website, and I'd like to allow the users to post articles using ChronoForms.
I've downloaded the submitcontent.cfbak file, and that's quite what I was looking for ! 😀

Yet, I still have some questions, hope you can help me out :mrgreen:

So ... the form is good, I changed a little things in the PHP code, but what I'm trying to do is having a code preloaded in the editor, like this for example :

Hope this is possible, I really need that on my website ^^
(the editor used is JCE, but if I have to change editor to be able to preload text, it's fine too)

Also (not related to CF, but while we're here XD), is it possible to let users choose wich of their articles are published/unpublished ?

Thanks,
Kanji =)

Hi Kanji,

I think you can set a default value for the editor field by setting it in the Form HTML. You'd need to code it so that it was overwritten with a saved value if the user was editing the article.

You could allow users to publish and unpublish their articles using a ChronoConnectivity listing fairly easily. I;m not sure if the core Joomla! framework supports an easier method?
