New form from existing html....

homefront 10 Nov, 2010
Hello,

I just installed and registered Chronoforms because I read that I can import an existing form into this system very easily. I have a brand new fully licensed installation with no forms in it yet. I want to just paste in an existing form that was created by me in another system. I read this:

A custom form in three quick steps :

1. Create your form html with any HTML editor (e.g: Dreamweaver, NVU, etc).
2. Copy the resulting HTML code from your HTML editor.
3. Paste the code into your ChronoForms 'Form Manager' in the backend, choose your settings and save.

But that is not even giving me an option to import the html code of the form I want to place in chronoForms. I realize I will have to make edits to the post process and other options, I am just trying to paste in the structure via the html.

What am I missing here?

The form I want to place in my clients Joomla site is http://www.tfaforms.com/183700

The clienst Joomla site is not public yet otherwise I would give you a link.

Please advise, thanks.

Hi,

Just go to the "Forms management" and click "New", enter your form name under the "General" tab then go to the "form code" tab and paste your form's HTML code in the HTML code box and save, please read the hints written above the HTML code box🙂

Hi homefront,

Just adding to Max's reply. You need to copy the Form HTML **without** the <form . . .> and </form> tags as ChronoForms will add those automatically.
