german translation

I got the chronoforms installed and configured and everything works nicely. Unfortunately the validation error messsages are in english and I need them in german language. So I searched in /language/en-GB/ for the english .ini for chronoforms. To my surprise, I can not find them🤨
So, I got 2 questions:
1. Where are the language files stored?
2. Is there a german translation or do I have to translate it for myself?

You can change the messages language by assigning them per field through the title attribute or by translating them in the validation file itself, unfortunately there is no language support yet for Chronoforms, you will find many helpful posts here about how to translate the validation file messages though.
