Edit/Delete record ARTIO Joomsef sollution

flyboeing 08 Nov, 2010
Hello all,

I just followed the tutorial documents about setting up a form for adding data to a database. Sending and storing this data goes very well. Showing the data on a page works also. The next think I want to have is the Edit and Delete record link in my page. I add the {delete_record} and {edit_record} to my page, but when I click on one of those I stay on the same page, only my URL changes.

Before: http://pro-aviation.nl/index.php?option=com_chronoconnectivity&connectionname=Foto
After: http://pro-aviation.nl/chronoconnectivity

I hope someone can help me with this problem.

Kind regards,
Ruud

Hi Ruud,

Have you set the permissions on the FrontEnd Settings tab?

Hi Bob,

In the FrontEnd setting of Chronoconnectivity I have set the permissions to Public Users - Guest. The 'Per User Permissions' I haven't set.

First I selected the 'Record Edit Form', the same form I use to upload my data. The field 'Skipped Fields' I left empty.

Hi Ruud,

Please try selecting all the Groups for New Record and Delete Record.

I selected all groups but still no effect.

By the way, in the body I just entered {edit_record}, is that enough?

Hi flyboeing ,

Should be fine :-(

Please post a link to the listing so we can take a quick look.

Hi Bob,

Thank you for your help, but I found the answer to my question.
For my SEF urls I use ARTIO Joomsef. That was the problem. ARTIO changes the link to /chronoconnectivity, but I don't want that, because then my form won't work anymore.

In ARTIO Joomsef you go to 'configuration' --> 'components'. There you see 'com_chronoconnectivity'. The first column is named 'handling'. There I choose the option 'skip'. The last column is the 'Don't show menu title' column. The checkbox behind 'com_chronoconnectivity' I checked and now it is working😀

EDIT:
I have changed the title of the topic, so it is easier to find
