SOLVED: Antispam + Email Validation + Republish Fields

novagiant 02 Nov, 2010
I am using the Latest version of Chronoforms on J! 1.5.20

I have a simple six field form. I am using the Antispam captua, the built-in validation and have Try to Republish on the genral tab.

When I test, I put invalid text in the antispam captua, hit send and when the page refreshes it keeps my field data but the email field gets stuffed with a bunch of javascript like this in the the script tags -----> this This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .... so, how can I stop that from happening?

Thank you!
:)

Hi novagiant ,

You have the Joomla! Email Cloaking Plug-in enabled and it is trying to cloak the sample e-mail in the ChronoForms validation message. Disable the plug-in temporarily to check this is the problem. If you need the plug-in change the plug-ins order so that Email Cloaking runs before ChronoForms.

NB These are Joomla! plug-ins that you manage from Site Admin | Extensions | Plug-in Manager

THANK YOU!!! Ahhh - I found it... just disable the e-mail cloaking plugin. You can also diable the e-mail cloaking on a specific page if you want it enabled for other pages with this.... {emailcloak=off}

Hi novagiant,

Thanks - for the beer and for the {emailcloak=off} tip. You can add this to the Form HTML provided that you Enable Mambots on the Form General tab.
