Chronoform with Community Builder/joomla info

joomlafreek 26 Oct, 2010
I want to create forms with chronoform, but want to add information from community builder or joomla in it.

Example:

I want to create a form for users (already registerred in joomla) who can do a request.
First they need to login on Joomla.
Now they can fill in the form I created in chronoform and put in all the information.
Now they push the send button. I configured in my form that the form will e-mail it to me.

What I like to see is which user has submitted the request (user name; e-mail address), without that the user has to add this information in my form (I already has that information > Joomla user / Community builder).

Any ideas how to do this?

Hi joomlafreek,

You can easly add the User ID of the logged in user to a form / and use that to get the name & email. Search here on GetUser for many examples or there's a short doc you can download here

Hi Bob,

Thanks, that works.

I have a test site where it all works.
Now I tried on my production site, but when I retrive the email (with hidden) I get "This e-mail address is protected agains spambots. You need JavaScript to show this ' /> (translated from dutch).

Hi joomlafreek,

It sounds as if have the Joomla! Email Cloaking Plug-in enabled and it is trying to cloak the e-mail in from. Disable the plug-in temporarily to check this is the problem. If you need the plug-in change the plug-ins order so that Email Cloaking runs before ChronoForms.

NB These are Joomla! plug-ins that you manage from Site Admin | Extensions | Plug-in Manager

You could also just look up the email after the form is submitted.
