Failed to upload package to joomla 1.5

ChronoForms_V3.1_RC5.5.zip downloaded the component, while trying to install it and upload it via the Install / Uninstall ... I get an error:

* JFTP:: write: Bad response
* Unable to write entry

and

Unable to find install package

I checked the package and can not find the xml file ...

What should I do?

Hi fergus,

Do you have FTP Enabled in Site Global Configuration | Server | FTP settings?

If so please disable it temporarily and see if the installation then works. We have seen some problems where the FTP user doesn't have the necessary permissions to create folders / write files.

Temporarily disable the FTP and remove the restrictions for uploads and it worked perfectly ...

You can validate it by buying a license if you wish to. The validated and unvalidates versions are identical except that the unvalidated version shows a strap line "Powered By ChronoForms - ChronoEngine.com" under each form and shows you a red message in the admin. The validated version removes the strap-line and shows a green message in the admin.

Is this Joomla 1.5.20 or 21? If so, do you have the MooTools Upgrade Plugin enabled? If you do please disable it.

Otherwise, please post a screen shot so that I can see what is happening.
