How to alter validation CSS ?

gdpodesta 29 Aug, 2007
Where/how does one alter the appearance of the validation messages. In my case, they show up as grey text, which isn't too eye-grabbing, so have embarked on finding the CSS that uses "#advice-required-supporttype.validation-advice". Am I on a wild goose chase here, or am I missing something REALLY elementary?

Any suggestions are appreciated🙂

Hi gdpodesta,

There is no css to find; on my test install the grey is inherited from the 'body' css with opacity =0.99999 being added by the validator presumably to support the fade in effect. You can add your own, I think that the three classes are 'validation-advice' 'validation-failed' and 'validation-passed' (though the ids are more complex).

Hi,

Attached CSS file was in the validation package but I didn't include it, try it and see, good luck😉
