create a Wiz Custom Element with a link

Corsini 11 Oct, 2010
I need to put on my form a link to our privacy policy page.

It seems that the only way is to create a wizard custom element in which I can put a text and a link.

Tried to create one, and put my text with link in the "code" area, but it doesn't do anything, as I was afraid.

Could please someone give me a direction and a help?

Hi corsini,

You can edit the Form HTML directly in the Form Editor | Form Code | Form HTML box. Click the form name link in the Forms Manager to open the Form Editor.

Hi GreyHead.

I am aware that if you edit directly the form code, you'll never be able to modify it using Form Wizard.

So, I would prefer to create a simple wizard custom element, and then use it in any form of mine when needed.

If I type my html code in the code area of wizard custom element editor, however, when I select that element inside wizard and try to position it inside my form, nothing happens.

The code is a very simple one like:

Please if you need informations on our Privacy Policy take some time to familiarize with it <strong><a target="_self" href="index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=99">HERE</a></strong>.

Nothing more.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi corsini,

This works OK here. There's a bug in the Wizard Custom Element Creator, you must add something (anything will do) in the box next to the "Insert New Parameter" button and then click the button. After that the Element should save and work correctly.
