Captcha validation resets form

Use Case:
A customer fills out the form but miss types or does not enter the characters for the captcha image verification and clicks submit.

The problem:
The system checks and comes back with the correct message telling the user to enter the correct captcha text.

The problem is that my form has 12 fields and when it comes back with the error, all the fields are now blank. So my customer has to fill out the form all over again.

Question:
Is there a way to verify the captcha without resetting the form?

Please set "Republish fields if error occured" to "Try to republish" on the Form Editor General tab.
