Form not emailing using Mambot

fatcreat 25 Sep, 2010
I am new to Chrono Engine, so my apologies if this is in the wrong forum. I can consistently duplicate this.

I created a form and it works great (emailing form results) when my menu links directly to the form. However, when my menu links to an articles page and I embed the form into that article page, it doesn't email. I am doing it this way as I need to password protect the form. The client doesn't want users to have to register or login, just enter a password to see the form.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi fatcreat ,

I just tested and it all works OK here - I don't recall this problem being reported before either.

Please turn DeBug on for the form and copy and paste the output here when you submit the form from an article.

I turned on the Debug mode, but I'm not sure where the output would be.

What I've also discovered is this... when I disable the email cloaking plugin, it sends the email. When the plugin is enabled, then it's not sending anything. I had the same problem when I just put form code on the content page. I was hoping that by using this form, it would still send. I didn't test this when I linked directly to the form, only when the form was embedded into the content page.

Hi fatcreat,

The debug info should display after you submit the form - you'll find many examples in the Forums here.

However, it sounds as though the Email Cloaking plugin maybe cloaking the email form your form. That would explain why the email is not being sent with it on. Turn the Email Cloaking Plug-in off to confirm. Then change the order of the plug-ins so that Email Cloaking runs before ChronoForms and see if that works OK.
