On my empty test site chronoform works fine, but when I want to created a form in another website with more components installed (no mootools) and I drag and drop a textbox only the text 'textbox' will be showed in the left frame but no 'click here to edit box. 😟

This looks like the symptoms you see with Joomla! 1.5.20 with the MooTools upgrade plug-in enabled. ChronoForms requires MooTools 1.12 - it will not work with MooTools 1.2* or without MooTools.

Check for the MooTools Upgrade Plug-in and disable it.
