Image resizer thumbnails

williamson 18 Aug, 2010
Hi thanks for a truly brilliant product, I have been using it happily since February this year, and my forms save happily to the database and my images show in connectivity - however I tried (several weeks ago) to use the image resizer plugin, and many hundreds of attempts later my images remain stubbornly at full size. My folders do not contain any of the prefix for resized images only the original image is present any thoughts or pointer gratefully received I have looked through the forum but everyone seems to be getting this plugin to work so it might be me ;(

Hi williamson,

The first thing to check is that you have enabled the plug-in in the Form Plug-ins tab.

There is a problem with one version of the resizer that screws up the file size suffixes so you get file names without the .jpg suffix. But you should still see the files being created in the folder you specified.

Thanks for the quick reply Bob
yes the plugin is enable (green with red cross) as per
previous posts on this subject, as to the prefix issue
the file is showing as a single upload in the designated
folder and no amount of tweaking the path info seems to
help create the thumbnails.
I am working offline in Xammp (localhost) with joomla 1.5
I am not totally sure how to check which version of Chronoforms
I am using, but I believe it is CHRONOFORMS version 3.0
the resizer is one you had published a link to as being bugfixed
from an earlier post (re the prefix suffix issues.)
Am I missing some sort of fundamental php code that my lack
of knowledge has overlooked, or is the fact that an image is
uploading sufficient to allow the plugin to operate?
thanks for your patience Bob

Hi williamson,

I use xampp for my test sites and the plugin works OK there so I don't think that is the problem.
Can you post screen shots of the Large Image setup tab.

Silly question but you might also double-check the entry in the Photo Field box on the Genereal tab.

The other thought that crosses my mind is to suggest that you set Error Reporting to Maximum in the site General Configuration and see if any error message show up.
