Hello all,
I am not web saavy. Trying to learn. Can somebody lend me sample html code so that I can try it out?

Basically, I would like to have a user use the form to email me (and also store in database) the following details:
Name:
From email ID:
Date: should be automatically generated with current day/time
Comments:

All fields are optional.

From the tutorials, I saw that I got to use css to have a nice layout. Can I borrow Css too please?

Thank you,

drb

Hi drb,

Good to see you here. Maybe someone else can find the exact code you need but most of what we do here is to help out with problems using ChronoForms - and the one thing that ChronoForms doesn't do is create HTML (or CSS).

I suggest that you search around and find a free HTML editor, NVU is available from the Mozilla Group, HTMLKit is another, and the Wufoo online form builder will let you copy some of it's code.

I used NVU in the tutorial and its very simple to use with a drag and drop form builder.

Half of your form is already in the tutorial, you'll find the code on the site here. You'll need to add a <textarea> field for comments and a hidden field for the date and time - how to do that has been posted in the forums a couple of times recently.

For Form CSS, just Google 'form css' and you'll find hundreds of solutions, tutorials, etc. on offer. Browse around until you find something simple that you like and use it as the basis for your own design.

You'll find good html & css references and tutorials at w3schools.com (and other places).
