to make a popup

Anyone who know how to make a popup?
I want to make a information/text popup. Is it a pre build in funktion in Joomla or is it an extension ?

There are many extensions that will help you add a pop-up to your Joomla website and you can find many of these in the Extensions Database: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/style-a-design/popups-a-iframes

A plugin which I use and like is "Modalizer": http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/style-a-design/popups-a-iframes/4277

Modalizer lets you choose from several modal types so you can usually find something that works.
