I'm having the same problem, won't let me create a table, just throws that error box

Hi thetalaser,

This could be a problem with MySQL v3. See this thread for a fix.

thanks for the reply, i changed the .php file with the info that was shown and replaced it. but now i cant access anything.

When i try to go to Chrono Forms (Components > Chrono Forms > Forms Management) i get this message...

Warning: require_once(/home/generaat/public_html/administrator/components/com_chronocontact/admin.chronocontact.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/generaat/public_html/administrator/index2.php on line 69

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/generaat/public_html/administrator/components/com_chronocontact/admin.chronocontact.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/generaat/public_html/administrator/index2.php on line 69

Also MySQL version is "mysql Ver 12.22 Distrib 4.0.16" at least thats what it says in my hosts cpanel.

Hi thetalaser,

Looks as though something is now corrupt in the admin.chronocontact.php file - I wonder if it has been renamed when you edited it.

For the moment I suggest that you upload the clean copy from the distro package again.

I'll think a bit more about what might be causing your problems.

hey, I already tried installing Chromo Forms again, deleted all the files and folders from the server, then installed it again. It worked again although it had deleted my form too, which isn't that big of a deal, but then i downloaded the php file again and changed that 1 line that was shown on the other topic. Saved it, replaced it, and same error message, and it locks up everything within Chrono Forms folder, cant replace, cant chmod, cant do anything, wont even let me delete from ftp. Have to go to cpanel and force it to delete, or replace anything. Any ideas?

Hi,

Do you mean that all these troubles happen when you change "ENGINE" to "TYPE" ??

of course the problem is with your code editor or the way you download or upload the file then, some problems may occur at those steps and so can result of unreadable files or 0 bytes size which is 99% the cause of your problem.

Try to login to your cPanel and edit the file there with the file manager.

hey again.

yes that was the problem when i changed engine to type. But now i took your advice and deleted the whole thing again, and reinstalled Chrono Forms, then from cpanel i edited the php file, saved and this time it actually went to Chrono Forms page except it wasn't very useful. It threw me about 20 error boxes with each box the code got longer, i took a screen shot of the last error message. And when i click on that last error message then it goes to the Joomla Component Install page. If this has never happened to anyone or cant figure out why all this trouble then yea i can wait for the update.

link to screen shot here

Hi,

Its clear that the admin file isn't recognized as a PHP file, seems like some encoding problem, Please wait for the new version in a few hours.

Cheers

Hi,

Now at v 2.2, go to the component configuration, and change the mysql type to be "TYPE" instead of "ENGINE", then test this again!!
