hi,
I'm lost.
here is a list of what i did and still nothing
1. checked files & folders in /administrator/components/com_chronocontact + /components/com_chronocontact => all file have 644 and all folders have 775 prem.

2. checked the GD, all is installed and well : http://174.121.134.35/~pikok/info.php

3. checked in the faq: after changing the vlue in chrono_verification.php [ pic to text] and tryed to see this file i got err 500 => dead end here.

what else can b done ?

My best guess is that this is a permissions problem. There is no response from the image page

Check with your ISP, this can happen with some security settings.

Otherwise you can try using the ReCaptcha plugin.

what permissions? can u give me more details.
how can i test/debug the page?
i try to change (read about it in the forum) going from imageverification to captcha, i changed some php files then when it didn't work i retrived the files but maybe i forgot the files name & files location, can u hlp me on this 1 (send me the files via mail)

Hi doronm,

Please check with your ISP (web site host) and your server logs. There will be more information available there.

The ReCaptcha plugin is a standard ChronoForms plugin. You do not need to change any PHP files.

You need to enable the plugin in the Form PLugins tab and enter {ReCaptcha} in your Form HTML.

There are more instructions on the Plugin help tab.

i'm really sesperate here!!!!
I thought i'll get much better support then very very jeneral aswers like:
"it's a permissions problem" , "check with you'r isp"
( I thought that with a license the support will b much more detailed )
like: what kind of permissions, where to set this permissions.
what should i look in the server logs, where this logs locataed and so on.

i really need hlp here, none of what u told me so far helped. maybe i can give u the u & p of my site and u'll find out the problem in few seconds.

I'm sorry you aren't happy with my replies. These problems really do come from the particular way that your site is set up. They are nothing to do with ChronoForms and there is very little else that I can do to help.

Usually these problems can be resolved by a quick email or call to your web site host.

what should i tell them ???
- asked about the GD => they showed me that it's installed and ok.

- asked about file perm's they showed me that all folders have 755, and files have 644 (at you'r installation)
i don't know about files NOT in you'r installation (tell me if i need to check + what r the name of this files)

there MUST b a way to do some tests, echo page or trace to debug / see where is the error, what should i look in the log files ??? they probably have 1000s of lines => var names and so on !!!

don't display images. Could be that mod_security is blocking it or that png isn't an allowed file-type, or something else . . .

This is also the entry to check for in the log files.

well solving 1 prob will generate 2 new ones.....

i'v created a contact form + setup email (i see in the forms management that it's enabled)
when i fill the form i get the folloing result:
"There is no form with this name or may be the form is unpublished, Please check the form and the url and the form management" what i'm doing wrong here ?
second: i get this result no matter what i put in the imageverification even if it is empty

Mpst likely because you have the form name in Hebrew chronoformname=צור-קשר. Use only a-z, A-Z, 0-9 and underscore in form and input names (and start them with a letter).

do u meen that i can't use hebrew letters inside the form as well:
like field 'name:' the user can't write in hebrew ?

No, just the name of the input

<input type='text' name='xxxxxx' . . .

The 'xxxxxx' can't be in Hebrew, nor can the column name in the table where you store the form data (if you do).

The visible form Label and the data entered by the user can both be in Hebrew.

ok, i changed the form name to eng and everithing started to work just fine !!!!!
but i think i found a bug in you'r system. in the phone field ( i put "digits only")
but no matter what i put in the "Validation Message:" i get this msg:"Must be a number!"

Pretty much the same problem I think, 'validate-digits' checks for 0-9 not ט-א

You'd need to build a custom validation to check for Hebrew numbers.

no, i vahe an english contact form as well, and it's the same:
validation msg is in eng: "munz only" field name is in eng and say i enter in the fiels aaa
but still what i get is the default msg ( i guess it's a default)

Sorry, I misunderstood your question.

I see what you mean now. I can see that the custom message is working for the Name field which is required, but not for the Phone field.

I'm not sure why that is, I would have expected it to work for both validations.

what i ment is: that when validating numbers (just numbers without any other validation) no matter what validation msg u'll put, u'll get some default msg out of no ware
