Add/Edit ChronoForm Bug/Problem

idealists 31 May, 2010
Hi

I installed this script a while ago for a client, and set up a couple of forms for them.
All worked well.

Now they have asked me to add a couple of fields to the form, when I go into edit the form (or add a new form), the form edit section displays on the screen, then automatically hides, and I can't do anything. I have tried in FF,IE and Chrome browsers.

eg:

Joomla 1.5.17 with Legacy.

Please help, I need to edit these forms🙂

Thx

Hi idealists,

Do you have any PHP code in your form HTML code ?

What's your Chronoforms version ? can be found under "Extensions > install/uninstall > components > Chronocontact"

Hello? Any solution to this annoying problem?

Hi idealists,

I was hoping that Max would continue to help with this. You have a pretty old version of ChronoForms there and I have no real idea what might be causing your problem :-(

Is this something I can download an upgrade for free?
Easy to upgrade?
GreyHead 08 Jun, 2010
Hi idealists,

You can download the latest version for free. If you had a license for the old version then please contact Max to get a new key.

Upgrading is not automatic but isn't too hard either. There are several threads about it here.

I'm currently looking for a calendar component that will display upcoming trade shows and events. JEvents looks promising. However, I have one challenge. Right now, I am using Chronoforms for event registration. Logged in users fill out the form and it's simply mailed to a recipient. What I would like to do is write some of the fields to the JEvents database to automatically create a new, unpublished event. Is this possible?

I'm willing to change the process if needed. however, I do need a way of creating a lengthy, custom form. If JEvents has this ability I can just bypass Chronoforms.

Thanks!

Hi shobazee,

You can probably write directly to the JEvents database tables but you'll need to find out exactly what entries have to be made to create a valid event.
