dibyadel 28 May, 2010

Your Chronoforms install at nic.superhit.in is NOT Validated, No limited features but for a small fee you get link free forms and help us continue the development and support.

Hi dibyadel,

Either because you haven't bought a licens, or becasue you have a license but haven't completed the validation process.

In either case your ChronoForms installation should work perfectly well.

Hi Bobe
I'm sorry but that's false, it does not work.

I installed chronoforms on my local website to test it.
I followed tutos to download and install it.
I created the registration form i needed and when saving my job, i get the same message.

I get no solution: each time i try to reach the "form management" section, i get this *+:%& message.
No way to manage the forms i created.
Why ???

I'm OK to pay for a working component but i just want to test it before.

Hi Lionel,
The presence of that message is merely a notification that you are using an unlicensed copy, or not yet validated your license.

The only difference between running with a validated license and not, is that there's a tiny footer whenever the form is displayed on the site, and you see this warning in the forms manager. Validating a license would remove those messages, but not alter the behaviour in any other way.

If you cannot manage your forms, then there is something else wrong. It is not related to the license validation.

One issue that pops up every now and then, is that one of the CFPlugins (not Joomla plugins/mambots) causes an error (sorry, don't remember which one at the moment), leaving you with a mostly white page with a few links on the left side, and possibly the "not validated" message at the top. Let me know if this is the case.

Hi Lionel,

If you only have the validation message notice in the forms management and nothing else (in a blank page) then you most probably have the allowed memory limit exceeded error, the solution is posted different times here in the forums

Hi,
I'm new to chronoform and I'm encountering right this issue. I'm right at the point posted by Fredrik "One issue that pops up every now and then, is that one of the CFPlugins (not Joomla plugins/mambots) causes an error (sorry, don't remember which one at the moment), leaving you with a mostly white page with a few links on the left side, and possibly the "not validated" message at the top. Let me know if this is the case."

I did what follows:
1) downloaded and installed chronoform v.4 + pluginmambot on on joomla 1.5.22 --> it appeared to be not working (no way to drag forms item --> since I saw this was out just a couple of motnhs ago, I decided to test v.3, which I assumed to be more stable
2) removed the plugin and chronoform
3) downloaded and installed chronoform v.3 + pluginmambot --> now I can create a form but I can't save it and I can't open, for example, Forms Management: in both cases I get an almost blank page with links in the left and a red notice about the missing validation....

What can I do? Can it be that the v.4 install was not fully removed/must be cleaned up deeply in a mnual way?

Hi fabiolazio ,

I've no idea what has happened here.

Your problem may be with the MooTools Upgrade plug-in. It needs to be enabled for ChronoForms v4 and disabled for ChronoForms v3.2

Bob

PS I've already replied to this in a PM and you also snet me an email. Please don't' double or trile post - it just wastes my time and yours. Post once in the forum and bump the post if you don't get a reply.

The forusm are very busy at the since the CFv4 release and it's not easy to keep up.

Ok - as I said also in my PM, I've version 3 and MooTools are disabled as needed. I PMed you super admin credentials, if you have time to take a quick look... or eventually suggest how to check v4 has been completely cleaned up and is not conflicting in some way...

Hi fabiolazio ,

Fixed, there was a conflict with one of the classes in the ReCatcha plug-in. I've disabled the plug-in and the problem has gone.

Bob

PS I installed exTplorer, a free Joomla! extension, to rename the plug-in file. You can leave it installed or remove it.

Hi,
I finally got the Chronoforms captcha plugin was conflicting with Joo Recaptcha, that I was using to get Google Recaptcha in Joomla standard contact form.

For now, I solved by:
- disabling Joo Recaptcha
- re-enabling your captcha plugin
- creating my own contact form with chronoforms with your recaptcha
- creating all of my other forms with chronoforms with your recaptcha

It would be nice if you could also provide a way to use Google recaptcha instead... I found something like a small tutorial written by you in a topic of 3 years ago, I tried it but... no luck, my forms started diplaying badly and no recaptcha got displayed

Thanks in any case - I'm going to buy you a beer as you like... 😀

Even more...
In my production site (http://www.luxuryitalytour.com/) now I have:
- JooRecaptcha ENABLED and working for standard Joomla contact page (see Luxury Italy Tour --> contact us)
- Your captcha in the "request price" form: (http://www.luxuryitalytour.com/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&chronoformname=RequestInfoPriceForm)
- your recaptcha plugin disabled by renaming cf_recaptcha.php in cf_recaptcha.php.old

So they basically work togheter. So probably you cf_recaptcha.php is not for handling your capthca but google recaptcha?

I'm almost satisfied, what I would love is to have google recaptcha also in your forms.... If you give me a way to out them, I can eventually disable JooRecaptcha and make a simple chronoform form for my 'contact us' page, so they will be aligned

Hi fabiolazio,

I think that the fix in this post should solve the problem.

Hi fabiolazio,

In the template joomla.css file is this code around line 155
#recaptcha_widget_div {
    position: absolute;
    top: -140px;
}

Sorry for requesting. but i have just enabled the Mootools upgrade plugin to use our ChronoForms Ver 4, but after that, the Chronoforms V4 will not working manually..

Hi Bryan790,

Some people have said that it helps to move the Plug-in to be the first System plug-in run (use the Order setting in the Plug-ins manager).

Also you may need to log out as admin and log back in again for the Plug-in to start working.
