Is use of div tags essential?

Hi, I've trawled the forum for an answer to this question without much success. From what I can gather, the use of <div> tags is recommended for setting up a form using html in something like Dreamweaver. My question is the use of div tags essential? Can I just put my fields into a table and organise the frontend look and feel that way? (Or is the use of tables frowned upon?)

The reason is I setup a form using div tags but the spacing of the fields was far too wide and organising 2 or 3 field input boxes in a row hard work. Putting the fields into a table is much easier to organise.

I'd appreciate any feedback or answers to my questions.

regards,

Hi jr,

There's no reason whay you can't use tables - or any other valid HTML that you choose. There are of course pros and cons and arguments on both sides. But ChronoForms doesn't care which you use.
