A few EZ cosmetic suggestions for Chronforms

rowby 07 May, 2010
Hi Max,

I hate to call these bugs, they are just suggestions for simple enhancements of Chronoforms, which I have used for several years and really like!

1) Wizard - Step 1 - Design your Form The Click me to Edit field should have a wider text field visible. Right now you can only type in about 18 characters before it runs off the form and you have to move your mouse back and forth to see what you have typed in. Please show at least 50 characters. Seeing the entire retyped "Click me to edit" replacement words (instead of just a part of the sentence) will reduce typos, grammar mistakes, etc,. Right now, even the phrase "Click me to edit" doesn't even fitπŸ™‚

2) Choose Email settings. Even though I have used Chronoforms for years, I sometimes forget what are the minimum requirements to get the wizard to change from the incomplete "Pink" to "Green". Can you add some wording on on the page saying that you need at least these 4 items in order to get the email settings to be accepted. This will be extremely helpful to newbies and even regular users like me from trying to remember the minimums. Right now I sometimes feel like I'm playing a video game trying to figure out what elements are needed to turn the form from pink to green.πŸ™‚

A perhaps "even better" solution/enhancement for not only newbies but people like me who just want to design a form as quickly as possible, would be for there to be a button on the email wizard, perhaps called "Bare minimum" which, when clicked or dragged, puts all 4 minimum fields on the "pink area", perhaps even already "applied". For those who would rather not use it, that's okay, they can still put in the items one-by-one. But for most of my forms a "Bare minimum" button would sure be nice!

I hope you can make these "cosmetic" changes soon.

And, again, thanks for your great extension!
