Hello,
I have redesigned a local theater's website and I am having issues with the join page. The join page has a simple form that takes users information and sends an email to a contact at the theater. Long story short, whenever I submit a form for the first time (on every web browser except Internet explorer) I get the "There is no form with this name or may be....." The funny thing is that when I go back to the join page and try again it takes me to the confirmation page. I don't understand why it works the second time but not the first. Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated and let me know if any other information is needed.

Hi paulbest19,
I can't work that one out. The first time I submitted the resulting url was quite different and was missing the chronoformname part. Something like this:
All a bit odd -- it's just possible that it's connected to the JavaScript error on the page (a missing script) but I don't think that is the cause.
Just to check, you don't have a redirect URL set or SEF URLs turned on?

http://valentinetheatre.com/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&task=send
As you say, subsequent submissions seem to be Ok; and submission from the form url http://valentinetheatre.com/index.php?option=com_chronocontact&chronoformname=join
also seem OK.All a bit odd -- it's just possible that it's connected to the JavaScript error on the page (a missing script) but I don't think that is the cause.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you (graduating from college), but I'll be viewing this thread actively now. Anyways, I'm looking into the javascript problem, but to answer your other questions, I now have the redirect plugin (I assume that's what you were looking for) turned off, but it still isn't working. As for the SEF URLs, I'm not sure what this is or where I would turn it off or on. Thanks for your help so far and I'll try to respond as soon as possible.
Hi Paulbest19,
It was the Redirect URL on the form General Tab that I was asking about rather than the plugin.

My redirect URL is index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=53
I'm still not sure what SEF URLs are

Hi paulbest19,
I've no idea :-(

PS SEF URls are 'Search Engine Friendly' URLs; there's an entry in Site Global Configuration | SEO Settings. But I don't think that's causing this either.

ok, I checked out the SEF URls and they are off. So I've made a back that you can take a look at. I hate to have you look at it but I'll greatly appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks.
Hello,
I got you test emails, but I just tested it in firefox and still received the same message. I was wondering what browser you were using? Also is there another method to creating a form that I might be missing? I really enjoy this program, but if this issue can't be solved, I might have to use another. Anyways, I really appreciate all the time you've put into looking into this issue.
