Field Names for Radio Buttons and validation issue

insightcreative 11 Apr, 2010
Hi All

I've just successfully completed a multi page form (Woo Hoo!) but I have two small problems.

There doesn't appear to be a way to set field names for radio buttons through the Wizard. This means that they all start at radio0 for each child form unless you edit the code. I was hoping that the client would be able to tinker with forms but this will mess up anything I put in through the code bit.

The second issue is that on a long page where the button is at the bottom, if you've forgotten a field at the top, there is no clue when you hit submit. I thought there was something wrong with the submit button until I scrolled back up the page by chance and saw the errors. Is there anyway to display a message in an alert box or something so that the user knows to check their inputs? I would like to do this on each page when they submit.

This is a fantastic component though. I was using another one (Breezing Forms) before and it was very slow, difficult to manage and unstable. This one is amazing.

Regards

Hi Andy,

Sorry but there is no way to edit those names using the Wizard. Maybe Max will fix that in a future release.

Long pages are generally a bad idea. Try breaking them up into more multi-page steps. That said, there are instructions for moving the messages and using pop-up alerts somewhere here.
