Downloaded and installed all files but cant now what?

Uploaded, installed and published all files ect... but now i have no idea where to go to create a form. There is nothing listed under components etc...

Hi Webby,
Did you get any errors during the installation process? If all went well, there should be an option under the Components-menu in the admin site named "Chrono Forms". There should be no need to publish any files to get the component running (if you've installed the module or plugin, you would however need to enable/publish these, obviously).

Also, can you see "Chrono Forms" listed under Extensions->Install/Uninstall->Components ?

I am not sure if you where getting this same error that I am getting but this is what I get when I try to install the component in joomla

Applied '1' Database updates successfully.
Installing component was successful.
Error
Another menu item with the same parent has this alias
Error building Admin Menus

Joomla version 2.5
Host Godaddy
Platform Linux

Hi Alaskan_grunt ,

It looks as though the other entries are from an earlier installation? I don't recall seeing this particular error before with ChronoForms. This post from the Joomla! forums suggests that clearing the Menu trash may help? There are other suggestions around in the same thread.

Sorry about posting in the multiple forums the second post was a lack of me reading instructions hence the Grunt name aka Infantry guy here, I also posted the third post on the off chance that the message that displayed was right "your submission was not successful, this topic is locked."
My problem is not tied to that thread you sent the link to or at least I don’t think it is. Whenever I try to install the Chrono forms Component I get the error above. I have already cleared the cache, all trash cans and everything I can think of. But for some reason when I go to install the file I get that error. Any suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

IThe only other thing that I can suggest is to directly edit the database tables to remove any ChronoForms entries. There was a caution about this in the thread I linked to to make sure that entries in both the menus and modules_menu tables need to be removed.

I am having the same issue... I have used ChronoForms on a couple other Joomla sites and I have never had any issues. I tried installing on a site and getting the
"Another menu item with the same parent has this alias
Error building Admin Menus"

Exactly as described above user's post. Please advise!

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Trying to meet tight deadline. 🙂
