{vlink} Not Showing Link In Registration Email

I have set up most everything on a registration form. I have joomla 1.5, CB 1.2.1 and the latest ChronoForms 5.5 I have made an email template.... but get the following results when I test:

BCC:
Subject: Your Registration Is Almost Complete
Hi Test NAME
Please confirm you have registered for an account on My Domain, by selecting the following link or copying it into a new browser window: {vlink}
Account Information:
Username: TEST USERNAME
Password: 1234567

I am totally new on this and intermediate on joomla at best.... What do I need for the {vlink} to function as designed? Please let me know any other info you need to help solve this problem.

** Edit* okay after looking around, it appears I have to setup a DB Connection for the verification link to function... However, I am not sure what table to use to integrate with community builder. I don't see any CB tables in the drop down...

Also,
I have another question... what is the difference between the Setup emails tab + the email templates when you are in the form properties VS Configuring with the Email Plugin?
