email wont go green

hi, im unable to get the email section on the form to go green, i have followed the pdf tutorial and have entered a to email address( my private email address) and a subject along with a from name (site administrator) and from email address (website email address, same as that in global config in joomla). the activate box is still greyed out and therefore the email does not go green.... any ideas please. thanks Gary
