troubles with javascript & IE

dries 09 Dec, 2009
Hi guys,

I've used chronoforms in a couple of sites and it always worked really great. But now I've got 2 problems: On the website http://www.visionlaser.com.au there is a chronoform int the footer of the page.

First problem: it appears that the form is no longer sending out any e-mails.. I know it worked, since I've got a few mails. In the settings, email the result has been set to yes and the setup emails tab looks good (green color). However, on Safari (mac) I get something weird and a red color. Screenshot: .

Second problem: except for the mailing, everything worked fine but I noticed that when I turn validation on, the popup video on the homepage and the validation doesn't work in IE7 and IE8 (both do work in other browsers). I think it's something with the javascript, but I don't see what...

Can anyone help me out?

thanks a lot!

Hi dries,

Looks like several different things going on.

a) In Safari the code showing up in the admin is part of ths ChronoForms Javascript - that breaks the script and is probably why the box stays red. I've no idea why this is happening and don't have a Mac to test (not sure if Max has or not). I've seen something similar once before when there was a JavaScript from another component that conflicted.

b) In the front-end the problem with validation is most likely becsue you have JQuery enabled in your template (or some other element) and that conflicts with the MooTools framework that Joomla and ChronoForms use. There are instructions for a fix for this in the forums here somewhere.

c) Neither of these should affect emails being sent . . . your email setup looks good. Have you checked your gmail spam folder?
