I am trying to reinstall ChronoForms_V3.1_RC5.5.zip and I keep getting just a blank screen with no installation or a timeout message. Your help is appreciated.

Hard to say, could be that a previous installation isn't completely removed. Try setting site error reporting to Maximum and you should see a more useful PHP error message.

PS Check that the administrator/components/com_chronocontact and components/com_chronocontact folders are empty and remove them.
