Fatal Error after form submit

cyle1116 04 Dec, 2009
Hi,

I am completely new to Joomla/Chronoforms. I inherited a website and a few days ago the form stopped working. I have upgraded Chronoforms to the lastest version. What happens is that after the user submits the form (when emailing the results is enabled) it goes to a blank page. This does not happen if emailing is disabled. I turned on error reporting for the site and got the following error. Do any of you have an idea of what could have caused this and how I can fix it?

Error:

Fatal error: Class 'JMail' not found in /services4/webpages/util/p/x/pxre6e9x9f.site.aplus.net/public/libraries/joomla/factory.php on line 599

Thanks,

Kyle

Hi Kyle,
The error you posted suggests that your Joomla-installation is severely broken. I would recommend that you make a backup of the site database, template, and other data, and make a fresh installation of Joomla. I'd also suggest that you make sure you've got all extra components, modules, plugins, and templates at hand before you get started, or keep a copy of the old site "just in case".

You could also download a fresh copy of Joomla and manually replace all files on the site (and adding all missing files), although this might not be advisable if you are not very familiar with Joomla. You should also make a backup of all data and files before you get started, just in case..
