HELP PLEASE!!! Problems Installing to a Localhost

chronoform 07 Nov, 2009
Hi All,

I am trying to install ChronoForms to my localhost but it doesn't seem to want to go through.

When trying with the first option i.e. Upload Package File (.ZIP format) I get an error that reads;
"Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded in F:\xampp\htdocs\domainname\libraries\joomla\filesystem\folder.php on line 392".

When I try with the second option i.e. "Install from Directory" I just get a blank white screen, with the word "Done" on the browser status bar towards the bottom left.

Anyone know how to resolve this error....or how else I could get ChronoForms installed on my localhost?

Thanks.

Hi chronoform,

First, please change your username - it's just too confusing.

For the install, ChronoForms is a big extension (in terms of file-size) and you may need ot increase the Max execution time settign in your php.ini file. Someone posted some changes that they'd made a few days ago.

That said, a manual installation should work OK. IIRC you do need to unzip the installer into the temproary directory.
