I have just installed ChronoForms_V3.1_RC5.5 to Joomla 1.5.14.
I added some code (no form tags) and tried to setup emails. The icons do not appear though a space holder and the tooltip are there. (see attached jpg)
When I click on the area nothing happens (IE8 or FF 3.5). I couldn't find anything that matches this in the forum. Could I have some permission issues?
Dave
Hi Dave,
Could be a permission issue though unlikely; could be a path problem; could be a faulty installation; could be a JavaScript problem - or some combination of the above.
First, please clear your Browser cache and see if that fixed some of the problem?
Then please will you check if the envelope image is here /administrator/components/com_chronocontact/css/images/get_msgs_f2.png and it if it is then right click on the left hand icon (the envelope) and copy the url - it should be the same.
Bob
Thanks for your quick reply. WHen I FTP the file is there. I can download it and view it. If I put the address in my browser I get a 404 message. Right clicking on icon in the mail setup shows the correct path but says image not available.
Here are permissions for the image file:
Web user permissions
Read
Owner permissions
Read Write
Hi Transonic,
It does sound like permissions are the problem - but the settings you have *ought* to be OK. Let's test by setting the icons to 777 and see if they then appear.
There can be some odd permission problems with Joomla if the user that owns the folders isn't also the Joomla user (sometimes an FTP user or an apache user owns the folder). At least that's how I understand it, I'm definitely not an expert.

We're getting there. I had to change permissions to each folder in the path. I can see the image now but still nothing happens when I click it. Any chance there are more folders that need write or execute permissions?
Hi Transonic,
Hmmm quite likely that there are some other permission problems - but it should work when you click on it. If it doesn't that sounds like a JavaScript problem. They are fairly rare in the edmin end and I'm not sure what teh fix might be.
If the site is on-line then by all menas email or PM me a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.
