Chronoconnectivity - multipage form not working [Updated]

sitebuildernow 13 Sep, 2009
Hi, as always, I've worked really hard to resolve this on my own. I have a very successful connectivity/search/edit solution set up on another site with a single page form. However, although I have tried to duplicate my process, I cannot manage to connect and edit on a multipage form. On the front end I Can search and get a record back and I can click edit I get a blank page with nothing but the chronoforms link. On the back end, I can go into connectivity, click on show data - Nothing comes up.

I am running ChronoForms 3.1 RC5.5 and ChronoConnect 2.0 RC3.

Continued testing I get the following results:

I can create a connection to the individual forms (by connecting them to the database of course) and can edit them by clicking the link to the edit form and editing via the front end but if I try to edit via admin, I go to show data (this works) but when I click an individual record to edit I get this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined method JAdministrator::getParams() in /home/sbnnet/public_html/components/com_chronocontact/libraries/chronoform.php on line 178

Any ideas, help, suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi,
first of all, thanks for releasing such a great extension.
I have build multipage form either and unfortunatelly aproached exactly the same problem as mentioned above. Has anybody find out how to solve this problem with the fields such as edit, new and delete?I followed exactly the tutorial http://www.chronoengine.com/forums/index.php?option=com_chronoforums&cont=posts&f=5&t=12324 as well as other topics mentioned within the forum to create multipage form. I have been using the latest published versions of chronoforms and chronoconnectivity. I have set up all the parameters in chronoconnectivity tabs and proper permissions to edit, delete and create new records at the frontend but anytime when I choose the edit/new/delete link always opens only blank page.

Hi Tomasz,

I don't think that Max has updated ChronoConnedtivity since he added the multi-page plugin so the two were never designed to work together. You may be able to get round this by linking directly to the form instead of using the {edit_record} syntax. Add the record id to the url and add code to step 1 of the multi page form to load the data from the database.

Hi, GreyHead
Answers on that forum from you, are amazingly fast. I have been testing all these extensions on a temporary domain and when I get the permanent one, for sure I will buy a subscription to allow developement of these extensions. I have been reading topics on this forum for last two weeks and can not imagine that it won't be developed. Assuming I will do what you suggest and let know how it's working. Greetings from Poland.
