Now I see this error:
Your Chronoforms install at www.domainname.net is NOT Validated, No limited features but for a small fee you get link free forms and help us continue the development and support

Hi curioustoknow,

Post 1- please check the Email tutorial from the Tutorials link above.

Post 2 - not a bug, if you haven't subscribed it's a reminder, if you have then you need to validate your installation. There should have been instructions in the email.

What happened to the old chrono form? it used to be free
GreyHead 09 Sep, 2009
Hi Curioustoknow,

It still is free. You just need a subscription to use it without the strap-line. It's been that way since I've been here. What's changed is that there's now a reminder in the admin and a formal process for validating that you've paid.

GreyHead 10 Sep, 2009
Hi Curioustoknow,

There is no error - just a reminder message. For more info please see the Subscriptions page.

Hi curioustoknow,

Impossible to say without seeing an email or the actual Email Setup.

Bob

PS Best not to test with hotmail.

Hi CuriousTo Know,

That 'From Email' field is static, not dynamic so it will never have a valid email address in it. I'm surprised that your emails got as far as the hotmail spam folder.

YOu must ensure that there is a valid email address there and probably one with the same domain at your site.

oh im ao sorry, this form works well, I confused it with another application im using, the way i have setup go straight to my inbox and not junk! I apologize😟
GreyHead 11 Sep, 2009
Hi curioustoknow,

The 'From Email' box **only takes a valid email address**, you may not use a filed name there.

If you want to use a field name you must use a 'Dynamic From Email' box.

Hi,

I have just installed this latest version of chronoforms, and beside the red colour warning on component administration, I also cant access my form in frontend. I suppose this got something to do with subscriptions/validation.

This extensions is no more free? Does it need some payment now to use it? (or paied subscription)
GreyHead 13 Sep, 2009
Hi webrp,

No, the validation/subscription will change the colour of the message you see but has *no* effect on the visibility of your form (or at least shouldn't have).

What message do you see in the front-end? Or is it a blank page? Does the Demo form display?

Ok, I understand now. Theres something going wrong with my configurations.
I am gonna double check it, and come back to a new post if I need.

Thank you.

This was my problem: the form name or title contained a space

-When editing form in wizard mode you can save title with spaces
-The first time I edited form (out of wizard) and attempted saving I received the error message about the title space

I changed title and its working now.

Hi webrp.

Yes, that would do it :-(

With all variable names and form names best to stick with the convention: [a-z][A-Z][0-9] and underscore only, no dashes, spaces or other special characters and always start with a letter.
