I embedded the plugin in an article {chronocontact}registration{/chronocontact}. The form correctly is displayed, but I also get the following error messages:

I haven't checked but my guess would be that you have mis-matched versions of the Extension and Plugin

You were correct. I upgraded the component to the current version and everything is working fine now.
