Hello!
I'm trying to install ChronoForms V3.1 RC5.3 onto my Joomla 1.5.14 site, but whenever I try I get one of three problems:
One is just a blank white screen - as if nothing happened after a fair bit of waiting
Another is an error message similar to:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in \\..website\user\htdocs\libraries\joomla\filesystem\file.php on line 283
Each time it does this it has a different line number, I don't know why that is either...
These two I've found a few suggested solutions for on these forums but none of them have seemed to work.
I thought it could be some sort of server issue, so I uploaded the zip package onto my server via ftp and tried to install from directory
This time it will come up with an error message saying:
* Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package.
* Path does not have a valid package.
Can anyone please help?
Nick 🙂

Hi Nick,
Try to increase the maximum execution time of your server, this is posted in some threads here!

Hi Max thanks for the reply
I'm not sure if this is completely the case though, as I have successfully installed ChronoForms before on another similar website with the same hosting people and same hosting package
Just wondering if there's anything I might be doing wrong or any other work-arounds to this?

Hi Nick,
maybe they changed some server settings recently ? anyway, contact me through the "contact us" page to get the "latest" installer which installs very well everywhere (I use it for new installs) and see if it will make any difference!
