I noticed that my tab order works in FF, but goes all over the place in ie after the first few fields.

Have you set a tab order? You'd need to edit the form html.
On the one form of yours that I can see there is no tab order set and tabbing behaves identically in FF & IE8
As I've said before - it's really hard to diagnose with no evidence of anything.

Played with the tab order. working now. last night the tab was going up to my logo and menu items. All over the place. Sporadic like my other issues.
