Constant Contact Links + Chrono Forms

somethingspecial 16 Jul, 2009
Hello guys,

My client site has a custom form going on which you can see over here. Everything works beautifully with the form if it's submitted using normal internal links. However, once the links are "dropped" in a Constant Contact newsletter, the visitors cannot submit a form because the form says (right at the "submit" moment): " You are not allowed to access this URL."

I'm running 1.5.12, lastest Chrono Forms (downloaded a month or less ago), and using .htaccess to rewrite the URLs (as you can see once you visit the site).

Please give me a hand here as my client literally lost business because of this problem.

Take care and thank you! [Very Happy]

Hi kremo5le, I suggest that you disable the "checkToken" under the general tab, this will fix the problem permanently!

Hi kremo5le,

Max's fix should work for this. I think that the problem is that Constant Contact (and other mail houses) wrap the URL in one of their own for tracking purposes so the link that is used to access the form doesn't match the site domain. I don't rmeember if CC has an option to turn off tracking for some of the urls.

Hello guys,

I'm glad there is a solution. Constant Contact is the one responsible for this, yet my client thought it was me, or how he calls it, "Joomla!" for the entire set of extensions. However, he is not a geek like us, so it's understandable!

I hope this solves this problem 100%.

First, run from Constant Contact as fast as possible. Their platform is restrictive and uncoopertative. And, the do wrap their links as well.
I switched to my own platform which is open source and i do not have such problems. i would def find another email marketing solution. Some of my clients actually left constant contact after using mine. Just too many restrictions with their system for some reason.
