Need help uninstalling mambot

Greg R. 30 Jul, 2007
Ok, so I was getting this error:

"Fatal error: Cannot redeclare showform() (previously declared in /home/ibew1/public_html/main/components/com_chronocontact/chronocontact.php:36) in /home/ibew1/public_html/main/mambots/content/chronocontact.php on line 23"

So I did a search, and got the latest mambot, .2, unfortunately I just deleted the old one, instead of uninstalling it, now when I try to install the new mambot I get this message:

"There is already a file called /home/ibew1/public_html/main/mambots/content/chronocontact.php - Are you trying to install the same CMT twice?"

So how do I fully remove the old mambot, so that the new one will install? Of course I looked on the server in the above location for chronocontact.php, and it is gone. How do I fix this situation?

Hi,

Go to installers > mambots and ensure that the chronoforms mambot isn't listed there or uninstall it.

then ensure those 2 files dont exist too :
/home/ibew1/public_html/main/mambots/content/chronocontact.php
/home/ibew1/public_html/main/mambots/content/chronocontact.xml

Cheers

Thanks, Max. I did make this work, by going into my domain control panel and manually deleting those items. In Dreamweaver, they appeared to be gone, only when I went into my control panel's file manager did they appear. Strange, but nevertheless, I deleted all the mambot and component files, installed the new mambot, reinstalled chronoforms, and the fatal error did go away.
