Back-end Checkbox bug in V3.1 RC5.2

peter49 01 Jul, 2009
Hi Max,

in one of my forms I use a set of checkboxes to create a CSV field in the database.
When I use the same form for front-end editing of such a record it works fine, but when I use it in back-end editing the CSV field is not translated to the correct "checked" values, actually none of the boxes is "checked".
In front-end editing I found 'checked="checked"' in the checkboxes-to-be-checked. According to my HTML documentation simply 'checked' should do. Maybe a hint for the back-end problem?

Regards,
Peter
PS. I used the 5.2 version I downloaded this morning.

Hi Max,

your days tend to be rather long - hope you find some time for sleeping.
The problem report above was based on a strange twist in the example used. It does not exist actually.😢
There remains however a problem in back-end editing. I made a small example that contains a textbox, a text area, 3 checkbox elements, 3 radio buttons and a 3-fold dropdown. Input works perfectly, as is output both in front- and back-end. Editing in front end is OK as well.
Only editing in the back-end does not work. Whatever button I press, the data remains unchanged, and the administrator control panel is shown.
I am pretty sure I've seen other results of this recently. :?

Regards,
Peter
