Multipage plugin[ SOLVED! ]

rjpilla 29 Jun, 2009
I created a 7 step multipage form. The 7 child forms were created and a blank mother page was created. None of the child forms have database enabled. The mother form database is enabled. All child steps have submit buttons on them. Using the left hand column multi page plugin selection I entered the number of steps and the forms involved and set step navigation to yes. I also checked the multipage plugin box on the mother forms plugin tab.
When I click the link of the mother form everything seems to work fine. So i then go to menu manager pick chronoform type menu item and link it to the mother form. On running the site the menu selection ends up with an error of something not being found in chronocontact line 40. If i make a connectivity to the database and select the mother forms for the frontend settings i just get a blank powered by chronoform screen. What am I doing wrong?

Call to a member function getPageParameters() on a non-object in /var/www/Joomla/components/com_chronocontact/libraries/chronoform.php on line 40

this is the error i receive when i select the menu item linking to my mother form.

I believe it may have to do with the check and radio box fields. I have multiple check and radio box fields on the 7 forms. They have the same id's in the form html. In other words there is a checkbox 1 on form 1 and there is a checkbox 1 on form 2. I do have individual names for the checkbox's (1,2,3 etc) put in by hand through phpadmin. Now I realize this will result in a storage problem in the database but is this also responsible for the form not showing up in the preview? Running it in the link the form shows even though the values in the database our incorrect for the check and radio boxes.

Okay i give up, need help. Even when I make simple 2 forms with just 1 field on each page, make the database, and do everything as I stated above I still get the error

Fatal error: Call to a member function getPageParameters() on a non-object in /var/www/Joomla/components/com_chronocontact/libraries/chronoform.php on line 40

Please what am i doing wrong?

Yes it appears the only way I was able to get this to work was to make the menu in the menu manager type external link and copy the link from the forms management area. Is this how its done or is there a bug in chronoforms?

Hi rjpilla ,

this is not related to the multi page, its a glitch in RC5.1 which is fixed in RC5.2 to come out today!
