I created a chronoform for registering new user. And it worked!
Now I want the same form to work for Community Builder. So in configuration I needed to set 'Allow User Registration' to 'No'.
After that I went to chonoforms tab plugins
I switched off: Joomla Registration:

and switched on: CB Registration:
I saved
In Forms Manager I clicked form name and then CB Registration
Registration form shows. Started testing, but no effort.
What could I have done wrong?

Hi,
the CB plugin is dependent on the Joomla global config registration options, allow user registrations in the global config!

Okay thanks! Why didn't discover this myself???
I will give it a try! Your answer implies, that once you start using chronoforms registering new users,
you can no longer use a normal community builder registration-form without chronoforms!!!
(Which is not a punishment because those forms don't look very well.)
You are sure "allow user registrations in the global config" only effects registering and no other CB-... "things"???

Hi lennart,
I think that the global "Allow user registration" will fix it, but the problem is that recently CB has been changed in the core, and it became harder to make an external form to write to its tables (or maybe me can't find an easy way to do so) and because of the fact that I never used it, I didn't invest much time to find some way, so maybe you will get blocked by other issues too😟 some users have some posts here about fixes, but I can't help you much with CB issues "specifically"!

Maybe this information should get a place in the manual.
Chronoforms and the manual now make you think it can provide easy CB-registration.
Maybe me and lots of others are wasting a lot of time now thinking chronoforms won't leed to CB-problems. Because thats what chronoforms makes you think now.
