If you are getting the Error message "Could not instantiate mail function." then you do not have email correctly cionfigured fro your site. Check the site Global Configuration | Server settings; you may need to check with your ISP's help to find out how to configure them.

do you mean it was working then after applying license patch it stopped ? then you may have applied the wrong patch or one with a mismatching version, please contact me with your original installed version and the patch version you applied!
