Error "It was not possible to copy the selected file"

Hello,
I had V3.1 RC3 component installed in my website and had to upgrade to V3.1 RC5. So I saved some backups and tried to uninstall the existed component. I got some errors about the procedure not being able to delete some files. I deleted te files manually and tried to install the new version.
I now get this error after trying to install:



* It was not possible to copy the selected file.
* JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file: /var/www/vhosts/website/httpdocs/tmp/install_4a1671c2167dc/admin/admin.chronocontact.php to /var/www/vhosts/website/httpdocs/administrator/components/com_chronocontact/admin.chronocontact.php


* Install Component Error

What should I do? There are 5 forms missing from my website now and I'm really worried about solving this😟

Hi ktsixit,

Make sure that the administrator/components/com_chronocontact and components/com_chronocontact folders are empty and deleted, then try the install again. If it still fails there may be a permissions problem.

The problem was that I hadn't deleted the httpdocs/administrator files, just httpdocs/components. It's now successfully installed. Thanks for your help
