Hi LizWalker,
It looks as though you have the ChronoForms Module installed and published but not configured with a form name? Is tha tpossible?
Bob
I think so! All the forms have unique names (there are 2 of the form 'test-form' - is that allowed?).
I've checked all of the articles that deliver the forms and the link looks like: {chronocontact}test-form{/chronocontact} with no spaces and no HTML tags.
Hi Liz,
The {chronocontact}test-form{/chronocontact} works with the ChronoForms PlugIn in articels - but what is showing in your page is a Module I think.
Please check the Module manager and see if you have the ChronoFroms module published?
Bob
PS test-form is OKish - better not to use the dash as it can cause problems if you want to save to the database test_form or testform are both OK.
It is published both as a Module and a Plug-in - no idea why I've done that. Do I need to unpublish the Module and why would I use one over the other? What's the difference?
Hi Liz,
The PlugIn insert a form inside an article. The module shows it in one of the template boxes that go around the article. The module is what you are seeing in the left hand column.
Bob
I'm using a chronoform for my 'Create an account' link from the left-hand user login module as well as embedded within articles (which probably explains why I have both the module and plugin enabled). Is this going to stop working if I disable the module?
A quick test suggests that disabling the module gets rid of the message and it appears to be serving the 'register' form correctly (though the email/data capture isn't configured properly yet so I'm getting some error messages). I'm just nervous about introducing a new problem!
Hi Liz,
Which Chronoforms version do you have installed ? as Bob said you should not face any problems if you have the same versions of the component + module + plugin!
disabling the module will not harm your create an account form but I don't think this is necessary if we can spot the issue and get it fixed!

Hi Liz and Max,
I suspect that the module with the error message doesn't have a form assigned to it - hence the error message. Disabling it shouldn't make any difference to anything else.
Bob
Hi Bob and Max,
I'm using the latest version of everything V3,1 RC5.0 and Joomla 1.5.10.
I've disabled the module and everything is working okay now (including the sign up form) and I cannot for the life of me find anything with a unpublished/disabled form in it - apart from my register form everything is included in an article and working okay.
Regards,
Liz
Hi Liz,
If you look at the configuration for the module you disabled you should see a form name box at the top right - I think that's blank.
Bob
Hi Bob,
sorry for the delay in responding - up to my ears in testing 🙄
Yes, you're right! Is that what's causing the message?
Regards,
Liz
Hi Liz,
Yes - When that module is loaded it looks for the 'form with no name' and can't find it. So technically it's completely accurate.
It's useful if - for example - you want to show a newsletter signup form on many pages.
Bob
Brilliant! Thank you both for taking so much time helping me solve a problem I created myself!
Kinds regards,
Liz
