Captcha doesnt work in IE 7/8

supermaggel 18 May, 2009
hi guys!

i've searched these forums for the same problem i have but i can't seem to find
any related threads.

Why does the captcha work in firefox but not in IE7 and IE8? -at least here that is.
IE developer toolbar tells me the whole captcha input field is missing...
see following images to spot the difference:

in firefox:

in IE 8, IE 8 compat mode (IE7) AND IE6

what's happening here?

runnin' Joomla 1.5.10, Chronoforms 3.0 Stable.

Hi supermaggel,

I've no idea, there is nothing special about the field that I know of. It's just an ordinary form input.

Hi supermaggel,

try to debug this by adding another captch field or adding {imageverification} text and enabling captcha in a custom form, I've never seen this before!
